Saturday In The Slips. Dropped Catch.

Heres’s my entry for the Cricket Art Prize.

Trying to capture some of what it felt like to sit in the slips for hours and hours on a Saturday afternoon.

The tiredness. The pasty-white sunscreen mixed with the bright red sun burn. The annoyance as a terrible batter hangs around after a catch gets put down.

Wanting to get home so you could meet everyone later at the pub.

Done with pencil, paint and charcoal.

Here is my entry for the Doughboy Pizza comp.

It started with the shape of a pizza in the bottom section and it went from there.
